It's probably going out of synch because you are only using event sounds. If you have a background music track, you need to put it in it's own separate layer and set it to stream.

When there is a stream sound playing, flash forces the video to keep pace with the audio. All other event sounds will hit right on cue as long as there is a stream sound playing. If there is no stream sound to act as a "timekeeper", then your flash can get screwy with the event sounds.

That may be the issue...

I have everything set to "Stream" when it plays in order to keep the size down and end the audio where I place an empty key frame.

I do, however, have music playing in a layer above all the other audio pieces, but it's not something that plays constantly throughout the scene. One song ends and then there's quiet, then another piece plays, then ends, and another begins.

I really appreciate your help and I'll try out what you're suggesting.
